Te Ara o te Mārama - Mission Trail
The Sanctuary connects pilgrims to the first Catholic Mission to Oceania which came from Fourvière in Lyon, France.
Pilgrims can discover places to learn and pray. Still in development, so far there is a replica of the "Red Shed" of Suzanne Aubert and a Fale (Polynesian Hut) of St Peter Chennel is under constrction.
The Shrine of Mary, Mother of the Light
The jewel of the Sanctuary of Fourvière is the Shrine of Mary, Mother of the Light (Mater Lucis).
The Shrine features a replica of the golden statue of Mary that was erected above the Basilica at Fourvière Lyon. A large marquee has been erected for special Masses and large events.
Pilgrims are welcome to visit and pray.
